This collection includes over 2,000 images dating back to the founding of the college as Albany Collegiate Institute in 1867, and continuing into the modern era as Lewis & Clark College in 1940. The collection also includes faculty portraits and campus scenes from 1940 to present.

This photograph shows the original service buildings for the Fir Acres estate. These buildings included a garage, a greenhouse, a tool house, a shed, a potting room, a cold storage area, and an automobile maintenance area. This area was later converted into classrooms, a library, and a chapel by Lewis & Clark College, and renamed Albany Quadrangle.
