Floyd Schmoe was a professor of forestry at the University of Washington and director of the Seattle Branch, Friends Service Committee during World War II. He was also an opponent of Japanese internment. Schmoe was vocal in his opposition to Camp Harmony at Puyallup, Washington, an assembly center for Japanese internment.
